  • October 27, 2017 – 8:30 AM, RAP Foundation, 41-550 Eclectic Street, Palm Desert, room 103

Video conference attendance is available if unable to attend in person (must RSVP by October 24, 2017)

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Stage 1 Letters of Intent must be received by 5pm, November 17, 2017
  • December 1, 2017 – applicants will be notified if asked to move forward to Stage 2
  • January 26, 2018 – Stage 3 – Final Applications due
  • March 28, 2018 – Board of Directors will approve or deny applications

An extra 10 points given to proposals responding to provide services and/or programs to the Blythe Area.

To support new, creative, and/or expansion of existing sustainable options for:

  1. Mental Health service delivery in nontraditional settings and/or during nontraditional hours
  2. Mental Health service delivery using technology for remote and/or rural communities and areas
  3. Programs and/or service delivery promoting and increasing resiliency 
  4.   A. Educate, using a peer to peer evidence-based model or pilot model, to reduce stigma associated with obtaining Mental Health services and/or increase understanding signs and symptoms of Mental Health issues and provide resources

B. Educate professionals working with children and/or youth ages 6 to 18 years old to increase understanding of signs and symptoms of Mental Health issues and provide resources

  1. Mental Health services focusing on special populations, such as: foster care, disabled, LGBT (list not all-inclusive)
  2. Mental Health service delivery with emphasis on continuum of care and/or coordinated case management with school districts and/or faith-based organizations
  3. Collaboration and coordination of service providers for Mental Health programs to reduce depression and/or prevent bullying, suicide and/or reduce self-harm

      8.  To intervene with misuse of prescription drugs and/or alcohol and/or illegal   drugs   

All projects/programs proposed under this RFP must directly influence at least one unmet need in relation to the funding goals listed above.
