Six Finalist Organizations to compete during RAP Foundation’s Desert Fast Pitch event at Annenberg Center for Health Sciences
The Regional Access Project (RAP) Foundation is hosting its Nonprofit Communications Conference and Desert Fast Pitch event on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences in Rancho Mirage.
Six Finalist organizations will be competing for cash grant prizes at the Desert Fast Pitch event immediately following the Communications Conference, which starts with a continental breakfast and registration at 8 a.m. Fast Pitch begins at 3:30.
Desert Fast Pitch is a new and innovative approach to “storytelling,” a nonprofit’s way to deliver a compelling message to prospective funders. Six nonprofit organizations will have three minutes to make their “pitch” for grant awards. The six will be competing for RAP Foundation’s First Place award of $20,000.
Two additional awards presented will be the H. N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation’s “Coaches Most Improved” award ($15,000) and the “Audience Choice” award ($10,000).
The six Finalist organizations are as follows:
- About Families
- Angel View
- Christopher’s Clubhouse
- El Sol Neighborhood Educational Centers
- Raices Cultura
The Regional Access Project Foundation provides funding, oversight, technical assistance and guidance to tax exempt/nonprofit agencies, community based organizations, or collaborative groups which serve the populations of eastern Riverside County in the areas of health, mental health, and juvenile intervention.
