The Regional Access Project (RAP) Foundation announced its “Call for Applications” for the Desert Fast Pitch Program in January 2017. Several organizations applied for the opportunity. After careful review and process, a Selection Panel choose eight organizations to participate in the program. The 2017 cohort begins the program on July 12th with a full day of training with National Communications Expert Andy Goodman.

The Desert Fast Pitch competition took place Wednesday, Oct. 26 and this year’s winners have been chosen. The following organizations will divide $45,000 in prize money:
[Palm Springs] Former astronaut and author Jose M. Hernandez will deliver an inspirational talk to local high school students during a dinner at the home of Regional Access Project Foundation Vice-Chair Craig Borba Tuesday, Oct. 25.
